Slifer smiled and nodded back.

"That's right. Enjoy then dear." He said, walking out of the room to rejoin the group.

"I let her loose in the library." He explained when Kitty quirked a brow at him returning alone.

Shelly nodded to him and started looking around.

Chaos chuckled at Slifer's statement. "You realise that she'll probably never leave, right?"

The dragon grinned at Chaos as he sat back down next to Kitty.

"Which is why you and I are going to work on a two-way portal later so that you can drag her home from the library without her making a scene in front of the neighbors." He said with a wink, turning back to the television with a head tilt.

"What the? Weren't we just watching pranks?" He asked, seeing an odd game show instead. Sera hissed slightly as she looked at Slifer.

"Yeah well, they were starting to get to the really gross stuff, nearly lost my food." She said as Kira chuckled.

Chaos chuckled and nodded in agreement to the two way portal idea before turning back to the TV.

Shelly was in the library, still looking around at some of the books, quite amazed at the collection. She was still holding the book Slifer had given her against her chest, the scale still firmly held between its pages.

Slifer yawned as he stretched his arms up, laying back against the couch and closing his eyes for a moment before Kitty turned to him.

"Now you didn't booby-trap the library right? She's not gonna blow herself up or anything in there?" She asked humorously. Slifer chuckled at her before flicking her arm, shaking his head.

"You know me better than that. There is only one book in there that could possibly hurt her, but I doubt she'll even get ahold of it. it's on that shelf in the ceiling, with those chains on it." He said, Kitty smiling in approval at him.

Chaos heard this. "She wouldn't get up there, even if there were stairs to it. She's afraid of heights."

Slifer nodded at Chaos and smiled at the mage.

"It's a catalogue on all the duel monsters in existence, a Book of Beasts if you will. It is enchanted, and will attack anything that cannot paralyze it. cat nearly lost a hand to it once, so I keep it up high to where only I can reach it." He explained to the mage.

He nodded back. "That make sense... I think Shelly knows a lot about them anyway, she's got so many of the darn cards. But I know if she'd probably ask if she wanted to know anything. I think she asked me if there were many/any cat Duel Monsters once. I could only think of a few, but that seemed to satisfy her curiosity."

Slifer chuckled and leaned back, poking Kitty.

"Cat and Kira here are Dragon enthusiasts. They have their decks filled with them." He said, earning a small glare from the two girls.

"Shell likes Spellcasters or... Y'know, I've forgotten the other one. I don't see her duel much anymore." He shrugged a bit but smiled. "She says she's too busy for it."

Slifer nodded at Chaos, leaning back against the couch.

"Yes well Kitty doesn't duel much anymore because luck never plays in her favor. She always waits to summon me in a duel to get victory so, you can imagine how often that works out." He said with a chuckle.

Chaos chuckled. "I think Shell's the same with me really. She's never ever had me sent to the Graveyard in a duel. I think she's a bit scared to let that happen, in case something bad happens to me or something."

The Mage paused. "Thing is, I don't have any answers for her on that subject."

Kira and Sera had been listening in on the conversation and they tilted their heads in thought.

"Come to think of it, I did get sent to the graveyard once. It was way back when my card belonged to Raptor. I got nailed by Joey Wheeler in the duel." Sera said as Kitty looked up.

"And?" She asked. Sera bobbed her head before she continued speaking.

"To be honest, it was a little painful, though that was more from the attack itself than getting sent to the graveyard." She said, looking at everyone.

"The graveyard was like a nightmare come to life, being chased by the Reaper, and the longer I stayed there, the more I resented my old duelist for allowing me to be tossed there, and forced to stay for such a long time." She said, sighing.

"After that duel I did everything in my power to make sure he would never win again. I don't think I'd do that with Kira though. I was never close with my original duelist to begin with." She said as her human stroked her side sympathetically.

Chaos nodded, then nodded to them once as a thanks for sharing their experience.

"But, you were, obviously still able to come back to your duelist- that's the bit Shell's afraid of; that I won't be able to come back. Can that happen?"

Sera tilted her head and shrugged, wrapping her tail around Kira's neck.

"I don't know. I`ve seen creatures around here that I`ve beaten before in the past, and there ARE a buttload of ways to retrieve monsters from the graveyard during a duel. Slifer, you're the god of life and death, can it be permanent?" She asked, turning to him. Slifer chuckled and leaned back, lacing his fingers behind his head.

"I can't give out that kind of information. Ra is already annoyed with me for being here in the first place, I`m pretty sure he wouldn't like me giving away secrets like that." He said with only slight amusement.
