Shelly giggled a little bit, taking a handful of chips and nibbling at them. "I couldn't work in a morgue... It'd be too hard for me."
Chaos noticed Slifer's wink and rolled his eyes at the dragon.

Kitty grinned at Ashely and nodded sympathetically at her.
"I hated it, but it was the only job I could get at the time. I had to make sure that all the corpses were accounted for, because for some reason, people liked to steal them." She said, shrugging.

The blonde pulled a face. "Why on earth would someone want to steal a corpse?"
Chaos took another piece of chicken and began to eat it.

Kitty snorted as she leaned her head back on Slifer.
"Ransom. Sometimes we got the body that belongs to a wealthy family, so the thieves thought the family would pay millions to get it back to put to rest." She explained as more pranks played on the TV, Kira and Kitty sipping every so often.

Slifer snorted in amusement at Chaos' comment and nodded at the mage.
"Like I said earlier, never underestimate the stupidity of a human. Lots of them will do anything for a quick buck. Sad really." He said, nodding.

Shelly has fallen quiet and was watching the TV.

Kitty leaned back against Slifer and watched the television as well, tuning out the conversation around her while Slifer stretched his arms. He looked at Ashely and Chaos for a moment before lifting Kitty off his lap, standing up.
"Ashely, come with me for a second, I`ve got something to show you." He said, motioning for her to follow him.

Shelly blinked before getting up and following the dragon. "What is it Slifer?"

Slifer smiled as he looked at Chaos, nodding at him.
"I`ll have her back in a minute." He said, leading her down one of the hallways. He opened one of the doors, leading into his bedroom, and motioned for Ashely to keep following him as he led her to another door inside the crimson room.
"You like reading, correct? Well, consider this a house-warming gift." He said, opening the door to reveal a vast library. The entire room was enchanted to make it bigger than the apartment would have allowed, and the walls were lined with many books of many genres. Leaving Ashely to look on in wonder, he walked up to one of the shelves, producing his tail and using it to raise himself, sorting through until he found the one he had been looking for. He took the book from the shelf and lowered himself, walking back to Ashely. He pulled a scale from his tail and stuck it between the cover and the first page, holding the book out to Ashely.
"This is my personal gift to you. It's a spell-book. I was talking to Chaos earlier today about what sort of magic you know, and I think this might help you out. I advise you don't practice any of this stuff without him to watch over you though." He said, smiling at the girl.

Chaos nodded to the dragon and let the blonde go with him.
Shelly followed the dragon obediently, watching him with curiosity when he led her to a room. When he showed her the library, she looked utterly amazed, and even more so when he plucked out a scale from his tail and handed her the book.
"Th- thank you... Didn't that hurt?"

Slifer chuckled and patted the girl's head affectionately.
"Only hurts about as much as plucking a single hair off. Kitty used to pull my scales all the time when she was little, so I`ve grown used to it, don't worry." He said, nodding at her before gesturing to all the books.
"Now then, you are free to borrow any book in here you like. Chaos and I can work on making a door so that you can come here from your home anytime you wish. Until then, don't be shy to ask me for something alright?" He asked with a warm smile.

Slifer nodded at her and stepped around her, going back out the door.
"Feel free to look around and pick something out. You know how to get back to the den right?" He asked curiously.

Shelly looked around the library before looking out of the door and nodded. "Yeah I do; it's practically just straight down the corridor, right?"
