So, let's find out just where the hell we are, shall we? First off, yes, my city is called Morta. Lemmie give you a tour!
Morta is an Island city just off the East Coast of the United States with easy access to the Mainland. We do a lot of trade with the city of New York, since they are closest.
Ok, here at the entrance, we have have the "Golden Gate of Slifer", which are two doors made out of steel bars painted gold and in the center, where the doors meet, is a thin metal picture of Slifer the Sky Dragon looking out of the city. These metal doors are connected to a 7 feet tall, 3 feet thick concreit wall that surrounds the city. It serves to protect the citizens from people who don't like the concept of "real" duel monsters.
Now I take you through the gate into our tourist section of our city, not all Humans Without Guardians *we call them HWGs* hate us, and they are even thrilled to watch us duel and co-exist with our duel-monsters. Some HWGs even live in our city. Hey, we don't judge, we only built Morta because OTHER HWGs do. Our tourist section features food stands, cafes, restaurants and hotels.
Let's move on. Our Hotels hold an excellent view of our Quarter, which is the main place where our residents gather to duel, entertain the tourists, or to just hang out. The reason being is that for whatever reason, most of our duel-monsters appear there before finding whoever it is they will be a Guardian to. Quite interesting really. I occasionally give speeches there with Slifer, but that is an uncommon occurance.
Next we have our Business Section, which lies next to the Quarter. The Business Section is where we do normal jobs like accounting, banking, and other jobs that you would find in any other city. What you can only find here in terms of work are the jobs that the duel monsters particularly enjoy. Dragon Taming, for the renagade Dragon type duel monsters that either show up unmanageable, which is a very common occurance when dragon-type monsters come to find their Chosen, or get out of hand even after they find their chosen. Our dragon tamers are our finest workers and the best symbol for our city for they are the perfect example of Humans and their Guardians working together, even outside of a duel. A few other "strange" jobs you can find here include staffing at our Spell-Train Academy, where your Guardian can go to exercise their magic or learn to use shape-shifting magic. Again, really popular with humans who have dragon-type guardians. They bring their dragons here to learn how to transform into humans. Our classes are typically taught by Spellcaster-type monsters, but we do have a few Dragon-Type teachers, and even Slifer makes an appearance now and then to lend a hand, or would that be claw? Haha, guardian humor.
Next, our Port. Behind our Business section, this is where our residents go when they wish to travel to other places, and where duelist tourists come. We occasionally get such duelists as Seto Kaiba or Yugi Moto to come and visit our fair city. It's a very exciting time indeed when they do show up, and we all struggle to get something fantastic put together to impress them.
Last, but certainly not least our residencies. Our neighborhoods, located behind the Quarter, have surprisingly normal houses and apartment complexes. Of course, who needs a huge mansion when your duel monster can make itself a human? Both HWGs and Guarded live in these homes, and both groups enjoy each others company.
So, now you have seen our city. Perhaps you are thinking of staying?
