Dark and Mutt arrived in front of a large apartment complex. "So, these are the Dragon Caves Kira mentioned then?" Dark asked idly.
Mutt smirked, put an arm over Dark's shoulder, and leaned down, pointing to a sign marking the building as such. "I would guess so," he said sarcastically.
Dark shrugged him off. "Yeah alright, sheesh," he said with a laugh. "Well let's find someone to talk to about getting settled in. Getting bored with carrying around this bag." He shifted the duffel bag slung over his shoulder.
"Well, you could of course let me carry it..." Mutt said pointedly.
"Thought you were a werewolf, not a pack mule," Dark replied, rolling his eyes. "I'm good," he promised, "let's just get ourselves settled in." He headed for the entrance to the apartments.
As the two entered, they looked around curiously, examining the place, as well as looking for the landlords, in order to talk about getting an apartment.

As they walk, Sera suddenly appeared before them. Safely floating above the ground, Sera had an air of happiness about her.
"Hello there, welcome to the Dragon Caves. Shall I give you a tour of the place or do you want me to take you to your home first? You said ground floor right?" She asked, trying to be helpful to them.

"I think we could do a tour first," Dark said, looking around. The building was impressive, and he wanted to see more of it. "That good?" he asked of Mutt.
"Yup, that's good," the Guardian said, with a smile. "So, Sera, how long's this place been around?" he asked, indicating the Dragon Caves. "And how'd you get to running it?"

Sera nodded and twisted around, pointing to one of the buildings and turned her head back to Dark and Mutt.
"Ok then, let's get started. And Dragon Caves have been around since Morta has, which is around 8 months. Kira and I run it because Slifer needed somebody to do it and it gives Kira something to do. She's more the landlord here than I am, I`m just a waitress at one of the local cafes, but I help her with various things here." She explained, making sure they were following her.

Dark and Mutt followed her obediently, Dark looking around at the buildings surprised.
"Wait a sec..." he started, "you and Kira run this place yourselves for the most part?" he asked with some amazement. "But its huge," he said, looking around and sizing the place up. "There's gotta be a couple hundred apartments here. How do you manage that?"

Sera sweatdropped and chuckled nervously.
"Well, a lot of it depends on the cooperation of our tenants. We pay utilities and stuff and provide basic cable to them for a relatively low price, so, most people are more than happy to be cooperative. Besides, not all of these are full. Believe it or not, most of our apartments are empty." She said, nodding as she pointed out several places to them.

"Oh, gotcha," Dark said, looking around. "Well, so far this place looks really nice."
"So," Mutt cut in, "if most of these places are empty, I guess it shouldn't be too tough to find a place we can stay. Any recommendations?" he asked. "I don't think we want to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere," he said with a laugh.
"Heh, yeah, most likely not," Dark said with a chuckle.

Sera chuckled at their question and tossed her head slightly.
"You won't find that here, boys. Every apartment has SOME kind of visually pleasing effect. And nothing is too far away from the city. If you want to be near my home, or Slifer's, I can put you in one of our ground floor rooms." She said as she yawned slightly.

Mutt looked quizzically at Dark, leaving the choice to him.
"Well," he started sheepishly, "since we really don't know anyone else, if it's no problem, I suppose that could be good."
Mutt grinned. "Sweet, this way we can bother you with tons of requests and loud noise. Just for the record, when the moon is full, I howl. A lot. And I tend to chase things, so if you're wandering the hallways at night, be careful. And hopefully there aren't any small pets around here." His grin widened to show lots of teeth, looking both good-natured and predatory at the same time.
Dark gave him a smack on the head. "He doesn't do any of that, I promise," he said to Sera. "He's just being a moron," he said, giving Mutt a flat stare.
The Guardian gave Sera a totally innocent smile. "He's kinda in denial," he said in a low voice. "I got a cat once and offered him some. He didn't like it too much." Mutt jumped out of the way and laughed, as Dark tried to smack him again.

Sera chuckled at the two guys antics and gave a wicked, dragonic grin.
"Oh that's ok. Slifer wakes up around 2-4 AM and roars bloody murder from night-terrors at least once a week. You could hear him in the states. Heh." She said, chuckling in a mock evil tone. She focused her eyes on her friends, looking for their reactions.

"Really?" Dark asked surprised.
Mutt laughed. "Oh, jeez, two ginormous dragon mouths screaming from night terrors? Is Catilena deaf yet?" he asked sarcastically.
"Mutt! They're the founders of Morta," Dark said sharply. "Try to have a little respect?"
"Oh, come on, I'm kidding!" Mutt said amiably. "You know a roaring dragon as big as Slifer is gonna be loud though."

Sera chuckled at them and tilted her head a bit.
"Ah it's all right. Slifer and Kitty are not really formal people in nature. If they get formal with you it means they don't like you, haha. Anyway, no, Slifer always puts a realm of a sleeping spell on her before they go to bed so he doesn't disturb her. He does get very loud, but luckily, most of our apartments have a sound-proofing spell on them. Though, I admit a good number of them don't." She said, sweatdropping and laughing nervously.

"Hmm, hopefully, we don't end up in one of those?" Mutt asked with a grin. "Dark needs his beauty sleep," he said, putting an arm around his Guarded's shoulders.
Dark pushed him off. "You're one to talk," he said indignantly, giving Mutt a glare. "Sheesh. But, whatever apartment is good, we're not picky," he said to Sera.

Sera giggled and nodded at them.
"Well, we`ll see what we can do. We have a new guy on our staff who is gonna take care of the magic around here for us, so all the apartments will be soundproofed soon." She happily said as she led them to a door. This door was the last on a corner of the building, and it had a great view of the sea. Sera pointed left to a little house on the other end of the building.
"That is where me and Kira live. If you need anything, feel free to drop in and let us know. Here is your apartment, if you like." She said pointing back to the apartment door, which read 50 on it's door.

Dark opened the door and they both stepped into the apartment, looking around.
The door opened on to the living room, white walls, with windows on the opposite wall, above a small couch, and looking out on the sea. On the right wall was a TV and on the left another couch next to a hallway leading further in. Shortly into the hallway, the kitchen was on the right, and further down, the bathroom on the left. At the end, there were two bedrooms, one on the left with white walls, and, after a short walk to the right, another with red walls.
"It looks really nice," Dark said to Sera.
"I call this room!" Mutt yelled from the red bedroom, before coming back and nodding to Sera. "And yeah, this is a very nice place," he said.
"So, how much is it?" Dark asked. "We don't have jobs yet, but, at some point, we'll get some," he said, somewhat embarrassed.
